Frequently asked questions
Is my Steam password stored?
No. When you link your account, it goes straight to Steam once. All we store is an AES-256-encrypted login token that you can revoke in Steam at any time. With the new QR login (just scan the code with the Steam mobile app), you don't even enter your password on Idlr.
What happens when I play myself?
The boost pauses automatically as soon as you launch a game and resumes on its own afterwards.
How do the free hours work?
Every Idlr account gets 1,000 free hours once, as soon as you link your first Steam account – usable across all your Steam accounts. A Steam account can only be connected to one Idlr account.
How is quota counted?
Per game hour: 1 hour with 3 games running in parallel uses 3 hours of quota. You can boost up to 32 games at once.
What does Realistic mode do?
It only boosts during your time windows – e.g. evenings and weekends – with random breaks, so your playtime looks natural.
Is this allowed?
Automated collection of playtime and cards is not intended by the Steam Subscriber Agreement. You use Idlr at your own risk for the linked account.
